For a Day
Rocco began his musical journey at the age of one by singing and mimicking his father's opera records. His first on stage starring role came in the fourth grade with the role of 'Winnie the Pooh.' Rocco, a classically trained vocalist having achieved ALL-STATE Choir two years in a row(a first, and not since in his public high school's history). He was one of eight from New York State to participate in ALL-EASTERN Chorus his senior year of high school. On the other side, Rocco is a trained 'Method' actor having appeared in a half dozen major motion pictures. Rocco is also an award winning filmmaker most notable for his documentary, 'Rocco at Cedarmere' that made it's way around the festival circuit garnering the award 'Best Documentary Musical Performance.' Long Island Film Festival, 2006, N.Y. Film Festival, 2006. Rocco is also an accomplished opera singer, having sung in four lead role full length operas. Since September 2001, Rocco has been running his own label, Pagliacci Records, Inc. As well as starting his own film studio in 2005 called Real People Picture Company. Since then, he's produced and released two albums; A WALK WITH ROCCO, 2003 and FOR A DAY 2006 Rocco is a graduate of Hofstra University, and is currently finishing his Master's degree in Musicology.
