Run Over Twice
Run Over Twice is a new sound for Texas music lovers out there. The band blends their own style of Texas music with that of southern/classic rock, alternative rock, classic country and blues. The original works of the band include popular songs like 'I Met Jimi' and 'Flowers,' which have a rockin' edge to them. Others like 'Paris' and 'Peace of Mind' have a more Texas Country sound and are perfect for a good Texas two-step. All the songs are true, from the heart Texas music. This original style of Texas music is accompanied by lyrics of a poet. Along with their original music, Run Over Twice plays a very wide variety of cover music. This truly eclectic mix ranging from Guns N Roses to Willie Nelson and Stone Temple Pilots to The Commodores is what sets Run Over Twice at a different level than many other bands in the TX circuit. The fact that they can play country, blues, rock and anything in between (and play it well) allows them to perform at a large variety of venues. The band completed their first recording in 2003 and went on the road to play Texas venues such as The River Road Icehouse in New Braunfels, The Nutty Brown Café in Austin, The Exxon Mobil Petroleum Club, The Sam Houston Race Park, Hooters, The Sidecar Pub, Sherlock's Pub, Baker St. Pub, Sam's Roadhouse, Sam's Boat and Blanco's in Houston. Members of the Run Over Twice have played all across the country and in Canada and Mexico and have shared the stage with great artists such as Jerry Jeff Walker, Marcy Playground, Roger Creager and Randy Rogers. You may have already heard Run Over Twice on local Conroe/Houston radio station 103.7 FM and 99.7FM KSTAR Country, Rockdale KRXT 98.5FM, 105.3FM The Woodlands, TX KSHU-TV Channel 7, Radiofreetexas.org, or Kingwoodradio.com. The band's stage presence produces an electrifying yet comfortable atmosphere for the crowd, and the many years of combined experience is apparent every time they perform. Currently, the band is promoting the 2007 release of the first Run Over Twice CD. This was recorded in Centerville TX by long time friend, musician and recoring engineer, Scott Serafin. The final touches were made in Huntsville with the help of Stormy Cooper of the Roger Creager band. It was there that Stormy helped add the certain shine to the record that all musicians look for. While promoting this record, Run Over Twice is preparing for the next studio project by writing and performing new songs throughout the year. The new CD is scheduled for release in 2008.
