Running with Karma (Frequency Deleted Records) is an Indy rock group based in the Springfield/Boston area of Massachusetts. Influence from the likes of Sigur Ros, Bloc Party and the Cure are at once apparent in the raw intensity this group delivers. RWK\'s sound is diverse and distinctive enough to have opened for a wide variety of acts from the Dresden Dolls to Rasputina, as well as to have headlined and sold out such venues as the Iron Horse (Northampton, MA). With three releases (\'Bakers Pink EP\' 2003; \'Self-Titled EP\' Frequency Deleted Records 2006, \'If You Only Knew LP\' 2004), and four years of high-energy performance in New England\'s hottest clubs under their belts, RWK is gearing up for a brand spankin\' new 2008 LP release (date TBA). This record boasts nine hot, aggressive new tracks featuring infectious dance rhythms and Fugazi-inspired post-hardcore spirit, both in sharp contrast to the moodier, Cure-esque quality of RWK\'s previous releases. It also introduces fans to two new members. Maurice Watson, a well-known drummer in the New England hardcore and metal scene also joined replacing the original drummer Damien in late 2006. Having played in such acts as Deadwater Drowning/The Final Battle and currently the Mercury Switch (New Hampshire Metal), he packs a powerful punch and adds a strong rhythmic dynamic to RWK. Meghann Wright, a multi-instrument musician and sometime artist replaced the original bassist Anthony also late in 2006, rounding out RWK\'s new rhythm section. Original members still going strong include Elmy Perez, talented and artistic guitarist and keyboardist, and the driving creative force of vocalist/guitarist Richard Hernandez whose vocal prowess and stage presence make the vital connection for which Running With Karma has become renowned.
