Sabotage has been writing, rapping, making beats, and battling the music industry for 6 years now. He has recorded 5 albums including efforts with his former groups Lil Guerillas, II Sacred, and Shut Em Down. Sab has traveled as far as Los Angeles California in pursuit of success and recognition. This July he is traveling to Chicago after being chosen to perform in front of music industry executives for an international talent search. Around Springfield, with it's lack of musical supporters and industry representatives, Sabotage has forged ahead on his own, financing his own CD's and setting up tables on street corners selling them himself. He has been the sole survivor of his former rap groups, and there have been numerous let downs and disappointments such as the incarceration of Young Assassin (his former partner in II Sacred), ordeals with missused recording time and money, betrayals, and an overall lack of support from supposed allies and recognition from the music industry. But through it all, Sabotage has continually risen to occasion again and again, following his musical muse and evolving into an artist capable of lighting fast raps that leave you breathtaken and emotional slow tunes that hit to the heart of the matter. In this newest solo effort called 'Release Me,' Sab blends both of these styles into a full length album that tells stories of perseverence, falls from grace, inner conflicts, and even touches upon personal triumphs and taunts at friends turned enemies. Helping Sabotage out on 'Release Me' are his friends Lil Guerillas, the recently freed Young Assassin from II Sacred, Romance and Jasmine with harmony and vocals, and Jsquared with guitar on the title track.
