She has had many opportunities to showcase her talents by entering local competitions and playing at open stages and at The Northern Lights and Full Moon Folk clubs in Edmonton and at the Nickelodeon in Calgary. Samantha was a featured performer at the Vancouver Island Musicfest and was also honored to be asked to perform as a "Tweener" at the 2005 Edmonton Folk Music Festival, as well as in 2007, where she was included in the U-22. Samantha will have performed twice at the Calgary Parkland Solstice Festival by the end of June 2009, and will be performing at the 2009 Kelowna Arts and Music Festival, as well as the 2009 Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Festival; she will be featured in the Sirius Satellite 'Six Pack,' including artists such as Serena Ryder, Sam Roberts, and Elliott Brood. She adds to her credits opening for such artists as Ben Taylor, Schuyler Fisk, Kyle Riabko, Ruthie Foster, Lynn Miles, Gaye Delorme, Doug Cox and Sam Hurrie, and Jennifer Warnes. In November of 2006, Samantha was the youngest nominee in the category of "Young Performer of the Year" at the Canadian Folk Music Awards. In 2007 and 2009, Samantha was a nominee at the Mayor's Evening for the Arts in the category of Stantec Youth Artist Award.
