Modern Sounds for the New Era
Scientificlifestyle ( a.k.a. SciLi ) is a balance of opposites: traditional and futuristic, organic and synthetic, experimental and accessible. It is the exciting new project of two stylistically diverse Los Angeles-based producers converging with a dynamic, multi-talented front-woman to create a groundbreaking new sound. Zach Grace is an electronic music producer whose dance singles have been licensed internationally and whose hit 'Beautiful Outside' was on the Billboard charts. His programming work for SciLi is very dance music inspired. He also composes work for major projects, including a recent September Films documentary. Zach studied music at Vassar and earned a music master's degree from NYU. His guitar work for SciLi incorporates a variety of influences, ranging from classical and jazz all the way to punk and modern rock. Darius Holbert is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist steeped in the southern gospel and blues tradition. A respected session and studio musician in LA, Darius is also an accomplished composer who studied at the University of North Texas and London's Royal Academy of Music. Darius has worked with artists varying from The Wu-Tang Clan and Bobby Brown to Sophie B. Hawkins and Vinx. Darius' song-writing has won him respect from high profile peers, his composition has won him accolades from clients, and his performing has won him admiration from new fans around the globe. Nicole Porter is the beautiful lead vocalist for ScienticLifestyle. She is an accomplished performer and singer who as a stage player has performed with Aerosmith and Jane's Addiction. Nicole began her musical training at a very early age and studied acting at the prestigious Playwright's Horizons in New York City. Nicole's vocal delivery exudes dramatic emotion and her theatrical performing makes her the perfect fit for fronting ScienticLifestyle. ScienticLifestyle's debut album, 'Modern Sounds for the New Era' features some of the best musicians from around the country. The record features Frank Ferrer on drums (Psychedelic Furs), Ben Kishaba on guitar (Jude), and Joe Dunne on bass (Ben Taylor). The album was tracked and mixed by engineer Paula Jones. Ms. Jones is an accomplished studio veteran who has worked with Dido, New Radicals, INXS, and Elton John, and who engineered the Academy Award-winning song from The Lion King. ScienticLifestyle is a forward thinking project combining elements of electronica, rock, pop, and soul. SciLi presents a genre-busting sound that will redefine your lifestyle in the new era.
