Terry "Scooda Red" Davis is from Champaign, IL. He has been rhyming since the mid 80's. But back then it wasn't all about battling, it was about skills and being fresh. Around the early 90's, he was featured on a local jazz artist's CD from the South by the name Tina Diamond. Right after that, Scooda decided to move back to the "Big O", (Omaha, NE) where he'd been living on and off since 1989, and that's where the journey began. One day Scooda ran into a guy named C. J., a. k. a., Charles J. Cooke, whom happened to be the son of the late but great Sam Cooke. They went into the studio and put a song together and that's where it stayed; Pastel Studio. After that, Scooda was introduced to a producer by the name of DJ Suicide. That's where he found a home with Crossphade Muzic. By 1997, he was featured on a compilation called "Behind Enemy Lines." They sold over 3,000 copies and got press in different areas. So as the year 2000 approached, everybody and their momma were rapping! So Scooda decided to take some time off to develop something different. In 2005, Scooda ran into a group of talented kids that call themselves "West of Reality." When they collaborated, it was like magic! They opened up for Lucky Boys Confusion, and Gavin Degraw at Rockhurst University in Kansas City in 2005, as well as, for local and indie groups. They've also performed in local venues such as The Rock, the legendary Sokol Underground and the old school Ranch Bowl, just to name a few! Scooda has also done a little acting for a local t.v. show called "Drop Outz" on an Omaha local channel performing comedy skits. So as you can see, Scooda Red strives to give you something different that's not the norm and his Nebraska fans believe in him. So if you're looking for something different BUT good.......LET'S ROCK!
