Return to the Land of Jackalopes
The jackalope is a rare beast which originated in the exotic reaches of Douglas, Wyoming; which is incidentally the hometown of Scott Erickson as well. This album chronicles events that transpired during his voyage around the world, as well as his return to the land of jackalopes. It includes songs about pheasants, adventures in Sweden, the absurdity of borders, getting stood up on a date via text message, missing faraway friends, living in the moment, and running over a unicorn with your kick-ass mitsubishi. It involves pretty much every instrument he knows how to play (accordion, piano, harmonica, trombone, glockenspiel, concertina, harpsichord, organ, keyboards, and voice), and instruments his friends know how to play as well, like bassoon and viola, which all overlap throughout the album. Some precaution is advised.
