Have Some Champagne!
The Sentimental Hitmen has morphed from a funny satirical garage punk into a home studio project with an eclectic mix of electronica, alternative, folk, indie pop, and psychedelia. They seem to write any style that excites them from day to day. Their songs are always interesting and often filled with a quirky humor. The Sentimental Hitmen started in the 80's in Riverside, CA as a garage punk band. Jason Rhine on Guitar and Jason Cook on drums were the two main songwriting influences. The band broke up but both Jason's still were making lots of lo-fi home recordings. Nowadays, JR is writing and recording in his basement using a MIDI sequencer in place of the band. Recently, JC and JR are collaborating again, now with bassist/vocalist Brian Bays and keyboardist/vocalist Nicole Cheney, drumming up a new project called 'Circus Jelly'
