Seraphim's Worship is a group of friends who aim to live lives that glorify the Lord. We chose our group name because the "Seraphim" in the Bible are the angels who constantly sit before the Lord day and night, night and day, crying "Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God Almighty." It is our aim to be worshipers of God and that our very lives would cry "Holy unto the Lord"... He is worthy to be praised. Cheryl plays guitar and mandolin and Neveda plays the keyboard. Tracy sings and plays percussion. Robyn sings and plays djembe and other percussion. Cheryl and Neveda are sisters. We grew up as preacher's kids and have always been around music and worship. In 1999, Cheryl and Neveda joined the International House of Prayer ministry in Kansas City and were on staff there for 4 years. Our roots are in the 'Night Watch' We spent several hours a day lifting up praise, worship, and intercession. That is where our hearts were captured to sing about the worthiness of the Lord. You'll find that a lot of our song's are about how 'Worthy' the Lord is. Most of these songs come straight out of Revelation 5. He is worthy! Tracy is also a family member. She is Neveda's daughter in law and has been one of Cheryl's best friends for years. She has a great voice and often plays djembe. We all met Robyn at a 'Life Group' that meets in one of our homes. Robyn sings and plays djembe and other percussion instruments. Here are the songs on this CD and a little bit about each of them: 'Worthy' -- by Cheryl Davis -- This song is straight out of Revelation chapter 5. 'Behold the Lamb' -- by Cheryl Davis -- Behold the Lamb is about becoming like the Lord when we gaze at his beauty. The more we keep our eyes on Him and gaze on Him, the more our lives will reflect Him. 'Jeremiah's Song' -- by Cheryl Davis -- Jeremiah's Song came about when we had an infant death in our family. It is birthed out of the place of not understanding what God is doing, but knowing that He is still good and that we are in His hands. If you are hurting and you don't understand... find the place of trusting His unseen hand. 'I Will Worship You' -- by Neveda Wayland -- Another Revelation 5 song. He is so worthy, we can't stop singing about it. Like the Elders around the throne, we bow down and worship Him. 'Changed In An Instant' -- by Neveda Wayland -- This song is ballad. It is about how we can be changed in a single instant by the power of the man Christ Jesus... The Lamb. 'Psalm 62' -- by Cheryl Davis -- This psalm has always brought comfort. It is a reminder that 'our soul finds rest in God alone.' When David wrote this psalm it was like he was giving himself a pep talk... he said 'Find Rest O My Soul.' Sometimes we all need to stir ourselves up in faith and speak to our souls and tell ourselves to find rest in him alone. Verse 6 says 'He is my rock and my salvation. In Him I will Not be Shaken.' No matter what you are going through, you can find rest in Him. 'Jesus I Love You Medley' -- by Neveda Wayland -- This is a medley of 'Jesus I Love You' and the traditional hymn 'My Jesus I Love You' 'Seasons' -- by Cheryl Davis -- Seasons is about how our lives may change, but the one thing that remains is that He is with us. 'Lion of Judah' -- by Cheryl Davis -- another song out of Revelation chapter 5. This one is coupled with Psalm 97:2 -- 'Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne' -- The worthy one is seated on his throne of justice and we cry out for the Lion of Judah to roar and bring justice.
