The songs coming from these guys extend the rock and groove traditions with a sense of jazz, reggae, and funk sounds. Within the band is a collaboration that strives to maintain balance between technical proficiency and tasty jamming - Grooving and critical listening is recommended. Hailing from the Boulder-Denver area, the band performed on stages throughout the Front Range and mountain towns of Colorado from 2000-2005. Sevenandtwofives' music is a presentation of polyrhythms, melodic counterpoint, and odd time signatures - these elements of the sound were the impetus for naming the band, Sevenandtwofives. Each member of the band has called Colorado home for a long time (some native), influenced by the ski culture there. Geoff and Casey have known each other since they were kids; they played music together during high school. Mario and Casey studied music and performed at the University of Colorado at Denver. The three began playing as a unit in late 2000. Rooted in the realm of live-performance, Sevenandtwofives crafted their music into a groove-rock fabrication not yet seen this side of the Colorado.....
