Stories of Faith
Shane was always fascinated by music. It wouldn't be surpising to see him pounding away on pots and pans with pencils or dancing around the living room to his parents' record player. This fascination with music helped him win a national championship on the marimba in South Carolina at the age of 16 and led him to study music at Hutchinson Community College. After completing his music degree requirements there, he went to the University of Kansas to study music composition. Realizing that the kind of music that was being composed there wasn't really his style, he decided to transfer into the journalism department, so as to use his creative talents in a different venue. In 2001, Shane graduated from the University of Kansas with a journalism degree and continued working as a graphic designer/ad designer at the Topeka Capital-Journal. A couple of months after graduation, he married Christel, and, the next year, he moved on to the League of Kansas Municipalities as a communications specialist/web designer/ad designer. In 2004, Christel gave birth to their 100% boy, Aaron. Things have never been the same, since. Shane started Shane Bartley Studios in 2005, mainly as an extension of the freelance graphic design/web design work for churches that he had already been doing. In June 2006, God began rocking Shane's world. The dream of music composition that God had placed in his heart, God asked him to pick it up, again. And, in less than a month, Shane had completed his debut compositional CD, Stories of Faith. Shane doesn't know exactly where God is going to lead him, but he feels in his heart that it has something to do with film composition. Be looking for some more great things from Shane, coming in the very near future.
