Voted best band in Santa Barbara, California, Silent Meow started their rise to power in 2005 by contributing two songs to a Blondie tribute CD in Europe. The German label, Trash 2001 loved the songs so much, they offered the band a record deal before they had even recorded anything. Singer Silvie Pussycat assembled a lineup of some of the best local talent which includes Rock Smash on guitar, Chance Void on guitar, Pat Statutory on bass and Lurk Armstrong on drums. The band honed their songs by constantly playing live around the SoCal area, picking up fans along the way. Their debut album was recorded at Orange Whip Studios home to such bands as Lagwagon, The Ataris, Mad Caddies, Nerfherder and Sugarcult. It's punk, it's indy, it's garage, it's rock and roll. 16 songs in 30 minutes, the way it should be.
