Sisters Under the Anointing
SUA- Sister's under the Anointing It all started with three sisters that loved to sing. SUA began many years before they even became SUA. It started from singing with their supportive parents. Many of the rehearsals took place in their mother's bathroom and at Bro. And Sis Bowser's house, with their son Kevin being the director. Kevin would teach them how to harmonize by using the legendary Clark Sisters as an example. After those rehearsals, SUA would use what they had learned from the Clark sisters in their local churchs' and children's choir. The name SUA was given in the year of 1996 to Chrislyn who introduced it to the other sisters. The three agreed and thus you have SUA (sway). Between the three of them they have sung in several programs, from various local programs within the community to singing at the last COGIC UNAC convention in Birmingham, Alabama. In 2004, SUA participated in a Broadway play at the Amarillo Little Theatre entitled "Broadway with a Little Soul" featuring Chana Smith. In that same year, SUA was able to release their first CD, with help of the musical talents of James A. Tudman. Recently,Sisters Under the Anointing participated in both, 2006 Women's National Convention and the National Aims Convention of the Churches of God In Christ. At these conventions, SUA ministered in the presences of Dr. Dorinda Clark-Cole, Karen Clark-Sheard, Tamela Mann, Lamar Campbell, Judith McAllister and the new upcoming artist, Lucinda Moore. There are countless others that have given them an opportunity to minister at different programs, perhaps all the while knowing that one day they would be strong and mighty in the Lord! They understand that without God they are nothing, but with Him they can do all things!
