Smash Your Records
Six Gun Lullaby is a three piece Rock n' Roll band based out of Nashville, TN. Tiffany Minton (drums), Martin James Schneider (guitar/vocals), and Claire Adams (guitar/vocals) have been playing, recording, and touring together since 2005. Their first album, Smash Your Records, was self released in March of 2007. Six Gun Lullaby fires off a non-stop, energetic round of music, in each of their live shows. They have played over 50 gigs in two years. Some of the most notable ones include one night stands with The Detroit Cobras (Bloodshot Records), The Willowz (Sympathy for the Record Industry), The River City Tanlines, Ghostfinger, and an extended courtship with YepRoc recording artists, The Moaners and local rockers, Trampskirts (Supernova Records). With strong ties to their own music and art community, Six Gun Lullaby has played in support of LadyFest Music City, LadyFest Chicago, The Metro Bike Cooperative, Nashville Craft Apocalypse, and The Flying Monkey Arts Center in Huntsville, AL. They are past and current supporters of Youth Empowerment Through Arts & Humanities and have volunteered their time and music in support of Southern Girls Rock n Roll Camp for almost three years. Six Gun Lullaby has played all over the southeastern United States, a handful of midwestern shows, and is scheduled to hit the road again in August on a month long tour. They are currently concentrating on writing new material for their upcoming studio project. In February they broke ground and began tracking for their yet to be named EP, which is slated to be released at the beginning of 2009. What the media has to say about SIX GUN LULLABY: 'The dual-guitar and drums trio comprising Six Gun Lullaby have been honing one of the city's most energetic and entertaining live shows. The female-fronted, bass player-less trio's obvious and immediate comparison would be Sleater-Kinney, but Six Gun Lullaby contain a few more nods to first generation rock 'n' roll, '60s garage and blues-punk. The Lullaby has yet to capture the enthusiasm of their live show to tape, but the moment they do, they just might transcend this whole underground thing.' -Matt Sullivan- Nashville Scene '...raw energy and youthful aggression, driven along by the two-guitar attack [of Martin and Claire] and Tiffany's relentless, metronomic timekeeping, [Six Gun Lullaby] channels 100% pure, focused emotion into the performances caught on this, their debut CD.' -Paul Hightower- Expose '[Six Gun Lullaby] create one of the most powerful walls of sonic euphoria I've heard in years... [they] certainly blew out any expectations I had, which were none, and put out a powerful half hour of garage tunes, punk rock and thankful-honest-to-god music that isn't so fake these days.' -Jay Ziegler- Consequence of Sound "A female-driven, sonic caterwaul." -Tracy Moore- Music Editor Nashville Scene 'Nashvillians SGL like to come on coy, with some strummed guitars and lulling female vocals. Then they pull out their six guns and shoot that sucker into rock and roll smithereens.' -Greg Hershey- Richmond.com 'Six Gun Lullaby is probably the sexiest and sassiest girl punk rock group of this decade. Think big make up, big stage presence, and BIG attitude.' inRich.com They like it so maybe you should too.
