Don't Hate Me
Yes, Sixx is her real name! Not only is she the sixth child in her family, she is also the only child. Sixx was the only one that lived. With a legacy of such strength and survival and a super star name like Sixx it is not surprising that she is an incredibly talented young artist destined for super stardom! Sixx is not only an incredible triple threat talent, but also the epitome of the quintessential independent business woman not waiting for someone to make her into a star. She's had to opportunity to showcase all of her talents after relocating to Los Angeles where she's appeared on My Wife and Kids, ER, and iPod commercials. She was co-owner of the production company and record label that produced and released her first hit single entitled "Hypnotized." Sixx wrote and arranged "Hypnotized" which received national airplay and impressive sales. She owns the studio where she's producing, recording and mixing her second album. Sixx kicked off promotion for her new project with an opening performance at Club Sea World and the Vegas strip. You definitely feel the increased maturity of this triple threat with her new release. Her Mother, who was not only her manager, but also her biggest fan and best friend passed on November 8, 2007. SIXX promised her Mother that she would continue pursuing her goals and dreams and ultimately make them a reality. So clearly, SIXX has experienced some tragic, traumatic life moments that are reflected in the new material. Thankfully, instead of becoming destructive, Sixx has fueled life's lemons into the tastiest lemonade by using music and creativity to self medicate and heal; therefore delivering a product with depth and spirit. Sixx embodies all the qualities of the next powerhouse entertainer as an astute business woman, sexy siren songstress, and talented songwriter. She has cultivated her sound- a satisfying blend of R&B, Hip Hop and Rocky Dance music that is truly original and authentic. And because of her genre-bending style, Sixx fits comfortably on any stage with any artist. She combines the exciting stage presence of Beyonce with the sex appeal of Rhianna and delivers a performance that sets her apart in the company of a new breed of entertainer. Sixx's mom, an accomplished jazz singer-pianist, exposed her to the life of a musician at an early age. Sixx made her first stage appearance at the tender age of 5 as the featured artist for one of her mother's shows where she quickly identified her passion for music. Dance, voice and piano lessons followed by age 7, and Sixx went on to get a scholarship to study musical theater seriously in New York. After college she moved to Atlanta and spent the next couple of years honing her craft and gaining knowledge and experience in the music industry by sharing the stage with artists like P-Diddy, Jay Z, Missy, and Mariah Carey just to name a few. Sixx is bright, beautiful and blessed. In an era of prefabricated wind-up divas, she's refreshingly self contained, remarkably focused, positive, and true to herself and to her art!
