ONE WHEELER: QUOTES/BIO/RESUME/NOTES/THANKS Quotes: "This is pure guitar-driven rock-n-roll with hook-laden melodies and strong lyrics. It never ceases to amaze me that one person can become an entire band, complete with backup singers. I thoroughly enjoyed this and will be very interested in hearing Wheeler's next CD." Lucky Clark (Music Reviewer) - Kennebec Journal (Associated Press) "One Wheeler is awesome. I love it! This is real music!" Shift Work Blues - This actually happened to me while working (during the hottest week of summer) in a paper mill many years ago. This is an anthem to all those who work a job that they really don't like. 2. Love Starved - When your love for someone is as primal and basic as the need for food. 3. Jilted - It's that moment when you know your lover has been unfaithful. You can't change what has happened, and you can't stop the pain. 4. When I'm Dancin' - Is about a shy guy who just doesn't have the courage to ask a girl out on a date, but if he could only get her to dance with him... 5. The Passenger - This song is a composition of respect for the wonder of my children, and the unconditional love that I have for them. It is for all kids, everywhere... and their mothers too. 6 Coyote Girl - A true story based on the illegal sex trade in the U.S. today. Each year, hundreds of young girls are smuggled here under false pretenses. They are then forced to work as prostitutes and other horribly degrading jobs by Coyotes (smugglers) in order to pay for their "transportation" (packed in the cargo holds of ships or tractor trailers) to America. 7. The Real Thing - A person knows and feels when love like this happens to them... and yes, it really does make your heart sing. 8. Mad At The World - I felt compelled to write this after I was on-line reading e-mails written to the family of renowned race car driver Dale Earnhardt the night he was killed. To my shock and total disbelief, a number of the e-mails were rude, hateful, and void of any compassion. (There are a lot of angry people out there!) 9. Spaceman or Farmer? - This song asks the question: When I really grow up, will I choose to be a part of the technological world or live in a simpler fashion? (This question really originated in the1960's and 70's.) 10. I Love You Anyway - Age old story: guy loves girl, girl doesn't love guy, guy won't give up his love for her (but he's not weird about it), and the beat goes on. 11. Rock and Roll Star - Ever wonder what happened to a musician or band that you used to follow or listen to, but they just sort of disappeared? Sometimes I do too. Are they still out there playing? If so...where? If not...why not? (Occasionally, I get asked that question myself.) So if you are wondering, then "this one's for you!" ___ SPECIAL THANKS TO: Each and every one of you who take the time from your life to listen to little pieces of mine. It is an honor and a privilege to me that you would do that. SW.
