M.C.: Relic 2
Sli the nickname taken from the letters of his first name Sellaci, took up Djing back in 1992. While aunt Abbey Kyat was chatting, starting what would mold him into being a producer as opposed to a DJ, started to formulate his own original style of music. His family coming from the Caribbean and being named after Haile Selassie made him always feel like there was something positive he needed to do in life. He then started exclusive production in 1997 with Abbey Kyat. Sli states 'My influences have been DJ premier, Dr. Dre, Pete Rock and mostly Large Professor.' His style is no-format producing, 'I just jump in and make it'. The backbone in Sli's production used to be the MPC-2000XL along with various other keyboards and workstations. Recently he's crossed into the computer realm, making the backbone for his production FL Studio. His music making crew consists of Abbey Kyat, Joshua who resides in California due to them serving in the Air Force and Sli's wife (Mece). 'We're not anything out the current scene in Hip Hop; we're just fresh from something you used to remember.' He's recently finished up what will be his only full length album Sli- M.C. Vol.2 (The Relic). Within the last two month he has also started post production on Abbey Kyat's full length LP and also finished up recording Joshua's third solo album X-periments. So look for more because it will be coming.
