Born slightly more than two decades ago in Washington, DC, Soleil's ability to sing and perform blossomed when her parents returned to The Congo from where they had immigrated to the United States. She traveled to several countries in Europe to advance her music career before returning to the United States where she attended Auburn University in Alabama. Soleil Diva grew up in a modest home where he parents lavished great attention to the caliber of her youth. She developed strong faith in God with sacrificial tendencies to help the underprivileged. Her parents dubbed her the "peace maker". Soleil's intrinsic values of love and faith epitomize the caliber of a woman whose music is created on the foundation of hope and joy. She released her first album titled "French Kiss" in 2000 with her twin sister in the music group, 2pm. Now with the release of her solo album, "Soleil Diva", she is ready to take her music career to the next level. "My faith in God and my passion for African dance are encapsulated in my experience, dilemmas, tribulations and life encounters," she says. Like many other successful artists, Soleil is influenced by artists like Celine Dion, Sade, Whitney Houston, Mpongo Love, Gatho Bivens, Papa Wemba, Koffi Olomide and many others. Emulating these artists, Soleil looks forward with passion to the challenges of letting their influence guide her course.
