Under the Sun
The Detroit born blues guitarist/singer first came to national attention in 2008 when his recordings of "Jack me Up" and "Frankie and Johnnie" were featured on HBO's smash hit series "True Blood". King followed his T.V. debut with the recording of a full length CD "Under the Sun"; a collection of original compositions and Rhythm & Blues classics which was nominated for a Grammy "Best Contemporary Blues Album" of 2009. In February of 2010 Under the Sun was released internationally by Chicago's Blue Skunk Records and is distributed worldwide by Burnside Distribution. The CD is enjoying radio airplay throughout the United States and Canada and is Top 25 on many of the top blues radio play lists Solomon King performs regularly at top venues like the Whiskey-A-Go-Go and the Rainbow on Sunset Strip, as well as Babe and Ricky's Blues Club in his hometown of Los Angeles.
