Songs I Was Telling You About
Last official release of the band that was ready to conquer the radio waves...but damn the system!. This CD had it all: the huge pop sounds, excellent songwriting and studio precision! The songwriting ranged from Sport Rock Anthem 'Let Go Rock 'N' Roll,' Cartoon Theme Song 'Planet Tracie' and big sing-a-long live staples 'It Has Just Been The Hardest Day, Stupid, Backpack Girlfriend & Little Dizzy.' Alas, the acoustic-penned 'Headrest' made the biggest splash leading the way for Phil's solo acoustic CD and new project, the Quiet Lanes. Tracks of interest would have to be 'Little Dizzy', my personal favorite 'Backpack Girlfriend', and power popped out 'Planet Tracie'. Although this LP is a great radio ready sound with the hooks and power to throw the midget against the wall, it doesn't come close to their live show'
