Half Century Blues
Doug Petersen has been playing the guitar for almost fourty years. His early blues influences were Albert King and Son Seals. Doug became Stagefright Slim in 2002 after taking master classes with Jerry Ricks, Paul Rishell, John Cephas, Steve James, Ernie Hawkins, Paul Geremia, Mary Flower, Del Rey, and John Jackson. He has also studied with the great local (Albuquerque) blues guitarist Stan Hirsch. Slim has developed his own style based on the blues and \'Half Century Blues\' showcases nineteen tracks of original fingerstyle and slide acoustic guitar instrumentals. Stagefright Slim is a regular performer at Anasazi Fields Winery in Placitas, New Mexico which has an annual Acoustic Blues Festival.
