If I Had Wings
Let's see...what can be said about Stephanie Hansen. I think what may best describe her is the Kenny Chesney song 'She Made the Big Time' . She began to sing as a little girl at family functions, in church, at school and to anyone who would listen. Stephanie knew early on that to be an entertainer was her life's calling. As years went by and Keroke became ever more popular she became a regular with all the DJ's seizing every opportunity available and gradually she began to win. Her voice, her style, her confidence continue to develop. Having competed in CT's based WCTY's 'Catch a Rising Star' contest, she stole the hearts of not only the audience but the judges as well, with unanimous endorsements like ' Awesome' from Billy Gilman...'Fantastic' from Columbia Records Cliff Blake...to one judges' comments 'Girl, if you want a career in the music business you've got it'. Stephanie not only won the event but attracted the attention and sponsorship of Grammy Award Winning engineer Michael Hopkins [Sheryl Crow], and one short year later completed her first EP 'If I Had Wings'. The title cut 'Wings is as strong a song as new releases from artists like Faith Hill and Martina McBride' commented WCTY' s former country music of the year DJ Jimmy Lane. Her 2007 summer tour schedule included opening for such country acts as Josh Gracin, Sammy Kershaw, and Lonestar. Don't miss Stephanie Hansen at concerts, festivals and fair dates in your area. Her down home, barefoot country style is sure to warm your heart.
