Inability to Fly
Review AAJ "Inability to Fly Hey, everyone I'm pretty excited about the new review written by Mark Corroto and presented by All About Jazz webzine. As you may know this site is the world's largest jazz contents site on the web. Mark made some very cogent observations as it relates to this very fortuitous coming together of liked minded artists. I'm very pleased with the outcome of this small endeavor and this is just the start of some wonderful musical collaboration to come. So please check out the review and forward it to friends and like minded new music enthusiast. Http://www.allaboutjazz.com/php/article.php?id=32659 Dear adventurous music partners, Hello, My name is L. A. Jenkins and I'm an avant-garde/ modern jazz guitarist and composer. Welcome to my page. I can only anticipate that the style of music I'm creating will resonate with your musical taste. "Inability to Fly" is my newly release CD; "Inability to Fly", is a straight up piece of fun. I got together with two great musicians, Ryan Jewell, a fantastic drummer/percussionist and from Brooklyn NY, Tom Abbs, playing double bass. This was a great session; we just kicked it into gear and played. The combination of noise, jazz, and ambient constructs, really created a powerful and focus sound. I hope you will concur that this is some interesting music. As an artist my major endeavor is to first create style of avant-garde music that involves, challenges and rewards for the adventurous listeners. My goal as you listen to this music, you will explore the cacophony of extended sounds, and the noted reference to song forms and familiar compositional structure. As a goal I wanted to explore new dimension of sounds and melodies but as stated my main objective is always to bring you with me on this musical adventurous trip. . And that destination is you and me and my fellow musical partners sharing our love of music and exploring the realms of what the musical consortium "Stop by Fear", will come up with next. I hope you enjoy the ride. Peace, L.A. Jenkins/Stop by Fear.
