A professional singer, Sulaine trained in the operatic world performing in numerous classical venues including Michigan Opera Theatre. In recent years, she has engaged in music composition. "Snowflake Lullabies" began on a quiet, wintry evening in Michigan. Sulaine walked up her front steps in a gentle snow breathing in the starry night. She tilted her face to the sky and closed her eyes to feel the soft flakes fall on her cheeks. She says: "Seeing and feeling the beautiful snow warmed me in the cold air. I knew there was something precious and magical in the world. It was the way I felt about my children, as babies, when I rocked them to sleep at night." Sulaine continues to compose children's songs as well as instrumental works in the classical genre.
