Sun Machine : Doin' the Dredge
It all started back in 5th grade when I was introduced to Bert Wallace, Joey Raynor and Ian Mickie.(Later to be replaced by Kevin Raynor) So around circa 1983, Bert and I, least be known to us, started Sun Machine in Clemmons, NC with nothing more than 2 cassette recorders.(bouncing tracks) That was a few years before my dad actually bought me a TASCAM mini 4-Track recorder. As we got older the crew grew, in stature as well as musically. So, in our late teens, early 20's we were jammin' in Joey's Garage. There were many 'Experimental' moments; we wrote many songs there, with strong opposition from his parents. When jamming live with your best friends in this type of environment, it was always easy to slip into an old Zeppelin vibe, Cream or Jimmy Hendrix. But yeah, what can I say, 'Those were the days'...So begins the journey of one man, through his life, all the bands, all the music, published for you here on this wonderful site!
