Susan Renee' is a prolific songwriter, whose lyrics bring an emotional intensity to her music and her message. She wrote 'Columbine' in honor of the lives lost at the Columbine massacre in April 1999. She felt strongly that she wanted to use this song, not only to get a message of peace out to the community and to young people all over the globe, but to help support organizations that were working with today's youth. Susan chose The Columbine Redemption and continues to donate proceeds from the sale of this dynamic CD single to them, as well as other youth organizations. She believes we CAN make a difference but not if we indifferently turn away from the problems today's youth face. She believes we are all responsible for the shape of our society and thus, we must all come together to change the negative aspects of our world. Her message in Columbine is hopeful and painful and will touches the depths of the human soul, as she urges all of us to open our eyes this time and end the suffering.
