Born at the end of 2006 Sushi Face started of as a release for four friends to write songs and play music that they wanted and strived to hear in this day and age of so called rock bands. The band became a refuge from there hometowns and the boredom of day jobs, and in the songs of there first self title EP, you can hear the passion in the music with every word, riff and beat on the drums. Since the start the boys have had always had to improvise with locations on where to practice with no money to afford rehearsal rooms, equipment and travel expenses, they always came up with a way to make music and getting to gigs by borrowing friends equipment and practicing in bedrooms and recording rough demos in some very cold garages. A month after Sushi Face started they had their first gig at the nerve centre Derry and the second in the empire in Belfast a couple of weeks after that, the boys were ecstatic with playing two of northern Irelands most prestige's venues and the hype the band was getting from the public and some local newspapers and it was this which got them there next gig at Kelly complex in portrush and from the start the band has gone to play all over Ireland and currently planning a summer tour for 09 to promote there self title debut EP. In 2008 after scraping some money together they went off to record four songs for an EP with Patrick trolan at broken studios in portstewart and the plan they had was to try and capture the energy of the songs as if they were being played live and in the end were ecstatic with the result. The plan for the short future is to send the CD out to as many people that will listen to it, play bigger gigs and become a bigger band but still stay true to the music they like making.
