Syncere was born Marcus Ashcraft on January 21, 1981 in South East Washington DC. He attended entry and middle schools in South East DC and moved to Clinton Maryland where he completed high school. Syncere is the oldest of two and has dedicated himself to setting an example for his family and friends with his music and style of life. Syncere became interested in RAP music in late 1990 and took the name Syncere to project both his dedication to the art as well as his unique style of music. Syncere strongly believes that a strong family base and the right combination of friends and associates have much to do with defining the man and the life the man chooses to lead. Style and Tone: Syncere's style and tone of his RAP varies among praise, aggressive, bitter and anger in projecting the life, conditions and options of America's youth. Influences: Syncere is influenced by 2PAC, Ludacris, Nas, Scarface, Pastor Troy, Master P. Musical Connections: Syncere has appeared in many locations in the Washington, DC metro area with acts such as the Untouchable Outlaws, Unfamiliar Faces, Versitale, Lee Lee, Mo Money and various Baltimore artists. He has appeared in showcases at Bowie State University and recently accepted an engagement with Positive Productions in Washington, DC. Goal: Syncere's goal is to become a successful RAP artist releasing many CDs and to pursue the business side of the business such as producing and managing his own label.
