There Was a Time Europa
Selections include the last known Ballad composed by Chopin (there were four), the Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 by Bach, several familiar favorites: Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata and Fur Elise (with a twist), and a somewhat reconfigured version (upon studying it more) of Chopin's Prelude No. 9 (Opus 28). Some more of Czerny's work is included as a medley of four of his 'The Art of Finger Dexterity" compositions. Included is another Tschaikovsky piece from the 'flip side' of the NutCracker Suite. Last but not least, the Etude No. 1 (Opus 53) by Ernst Haberbier is included near the beginning (version 1) and again at the end (version 2) of the CD. Finding the sheet music to this piece was very difficult here in the States and elsewhere on this side of the world. Sheet music and/or scores (with some exceptions) are also available for most of the arrangements on this album. Hope you enjoy this album!
