Blues for You
We ain't got no soul-searching poems, soaked in meaning and purpose from a smiling lute-playing chick in a long flowing gossamer dress, or a glossy-eyed guy with an acoustic guitar and a pretty shirt. You don't want that. You NEED bourbon-soaked sweaty jamming guitar, organ, bass, and drums, with ripping solos and occasional lyrics. You LOVE that! 'Where's the waiter? Hey tarbender, gimme another drink!' That's what Bruce said to Chel at the end of a Chick Correa concert in Los Angeles in 2004, and the name 'Tarbender' was born. More than two years later, Tarbender entered the studio for two days and emerged with Blues For You, featuring eight bourbon-soaked funky blues tracks born of jams during live shows and rehearsals. This is not a studio project, tuned and twisted into sterile perfection, this is a live experience with studio clarity.
