Ted James has been singing since he was 12 years old. He grew up singing in various church choirs. Ted became serious about singing in 1956 when he first heard a new singer named Elvis Presley. While serving in the United States Air Force in 1965, he won a major talent contest singing 'Summertime.' After leaving the Air Force, he studied voice under renowned vocal coach Lee Sweetland. Though the years, Ted's been singing with various bands in the Southern California area. He recently began a collaboration with his friend, new age artist Matthew Alan Stuart. Together they have compiled a collection of some of our most beautiful love songs. They've recorded these wonderful classics with a new twist -new age musical arrangements. The album also features an original composition by Matt - 'A Letter To Amy.' Ted and Matt hope that music fans everywhere enjoy these old, yet new songs. Discography: This musical project began with a discussion between Ted and Matt regarding what were the most beautiful songs ever recorded. After weeks of discussion, they decided on 10 classic love songs - plus Matt's original song, 'A Letter to Amy.' Matt feels honored to have his song included with such beloved songs. Ted, a classic pop vocalist, and Matt, a new age composer and keyboard player, have collaborated on 'Stranger In Paradise,' and the result is an amazing new sound - classic love songs with new age musical arrangements - old and yet new.
