It's not very often that a band can create such a buzz, and make such a name for them selves without having a full length album to push. Temperedcast has done just that, and is about to take it to a new level after finishing their first full-length CD with producer Scott Olson. Scott, who has worked on projects with Deftones, Buck Cherry, Limp Bizkit, Powerman 5000 and has played guitar in Alice In Chains and Heart, agreed to work with Temperedcast after hearing a 3 song demo. Temperedcast is an original heavy melodic rock band, defined by guitar-riff-driven grooves and powerful vocals. They have a modern, yet timeless feel. Influenced by everything from todays metal to classic rock, fans have a tough time trying to describe who they sound like. They are becoming known in the Seattle scene for their originality, tight musicianship and onstage chemistry. Guitarist Kris Tonnessen, drummer Kelly Murphy and bassist Nick Sundesten began playing music together in 2001. In 2004, with numerous shows and recording experience under their belt, they began their search for a new lead singer. Through many recommendations from fellow musicians, Temperedcast invited vocalist Calvin Muma to a practice session, and the missing piece to the puzzle was found. They clicked as musicians and friends, and the new lineup was complete in late 2004, with all the confidence in the world that this band is going to make it in the music business. Temperedcast has shared the stage with Jerry Cantrell's Cardboard Vampyres and Powerman 5000. They have also been involved in numerous extreme sports videos and television, helping them to gain exposure across the country. Blue Torch TV, ESPN2 X Games, Ryan Capes My Way to the Record, Propaganda, Slednecks 2 & 3 and many others have used Temperedcast for their soundtrack.
