Initial reactions to tracks from Third Floor Story debut album have been excellent and the band has had some encouraging reviews already... 'I love everything about it. The vocals are meaningful, the guitars are clean...and the changes are just right... The choruses are catchy which is imperative for any song to work.one of the best I've heard yet...nicely done..' Elizabeth, New Jersey taken from Garageband.com 'Impassioned vocal delivery, sweet lyrics and a fairly elaborate power pop arrangement. Melody succeeds at grabbing attention' Damon Smith, Canada taken from Garageband.com 'There's a nostalgic touch to this song's beginnings that swiftly dissipates into a neatly rhythmic, pounding chorus that buries it's hook in your head, sure to be stuck there long after the first listen.' Jezzy from Santa Clarita, California on 19Feb2006 Garageband.com 'Very well played - you really get the feeling that this band has played this song about 350 times in a row prior to hitting the studio... everyone has worked out intricately entwined parts. Has a top 40 vibe to it.' nyodlr1 from New York City, 18Feb2006 Garageband.com 'Excellent from the very beginning to the bitter end. Good to the last drop. Extremely reminiscent of Squeeze's best music, lead vocals, harmony parts. Great mix. Great musicianship. Very tight. Ready for primetime!' Rick Agata, Los Angeles taken from Garageband.com The Story..... Third Floor Story began as a writing project in the summer of 2004. Brian Walters and Daniel Green, who had featured over the years in various different bands, decided to get back to basics writing new material on a couple of acoustic guitars. They very soon realised that the quality of the music warranted drafting in three more band members in the Autumn of that year and since that point, it's been onwards and upwards. A year and a bit on from commencing writing, Third Floor Story have played headlining slots at London's Marquee Club, Barfly and The Water Rats. Their growing legion of loyal support pays testament to the quality of the song writing. Third Floor Story play strong, melodic and emotive music with soaring choruses, taking their influences from a wide range of acts from Counting Crows and Crowded House to the Stone Roses.
