Power in Praise Through Purpose
After introducing himself as an artist in 2005 with the release of Worthy To Be Praised, Thomas Jackson and his gospel group, Blessings From Above, continue to gain establishment in the gospel music industry with a new release entitled Power In Praise Through Purpose. This 15 track CD project has worshipers shouting in their living rooms, cars, and wherever else they are listening to this spirit-filled, power packed collection. Jackson exhibits his versatility as both, a writer and an artist, by delivering energetic rap vocals in Praise On, a song that encourages shameless praise and religious denominational desegregation. Jackson introduces his best friend and business partner, Brandon Rachal, as a songwriter by including Philippians 2:10, a jazzy ballad, written by Rachal, that blossoms into a powerful gospel beast in the vamp. Jackson also features several BFA vocalists as lead singers, adding more spice and flavor to what this project cooks up. As it progressively drives from track to track, Power In Praise Through Purpose reminds listeners of God's grace and mercy in addition to the reason God created mankind. The band is tight, the vocals are hot, and there is so much power in praise when purpose is made known.
