Three Fold Flame
In 1991, Layne Gaddis, Scotty Pope and Mark Elliott first got together in a local Tyler band called Conspiracy, which lasted for about three years. Layne left Conspiracy in 1994 to become the frontman for another local band called Brazil and eventually front for the band Did Lee Squat. Scotty and Mark continued playing together for a short time after, then split ways to pursue other interests. Mark went to Branson, Missouri in 1996 to play keyboards at the international level, while Scotty continued with his song writing and various side projects. Layne took a hiatus from the music industry from 1997 to 2003 to raise his son. In 2004, knowing it was time give music another try, Layne contacted longtime friend and producer, Bob Gentry and recruited Scotty and Mark to record a couple of songs at Bob's studio. Those couple of songs turned into a full length album of newly written songs and a few old songs that have been updated to everyones liking, hence Three Fold Flame was conceived. For the next three years, Layne, Scotty, Mark and Bob along with many other contributors, poured blood, sweat and tears into an album that they are proud to share with the world.
