Time Well Spent started with brothers' Luke and Ely Corliss, who write most of the material for band. They credit their songwriting to their mother who was a singer/songwriter. Luke plays bass and Ely guitar. Both sing leads. Brothers Corliss recruited lead guitarist Arin Silverstein and drummer Joel Matthews at school. The band has been together for over two years now. Performances include concerts mainly in the Denver-Metro area at theater-concert venues. Most recently they won their high school's battle of the bands with over 600 people in attendance. 17 bands auditioned. Gaby Corica, editor-in-chief, Smoky Hill Express, February 2, 2005 writes: 'Time Well Spent reminds me of bands like The Starting Line, early Blink 182, and Saves the Day without the gory lyrics. The band's music can be described as 'nice', it is light-hearted MTV music... they have the right formula of catchy hooks, adorable band members, and sentimental lyrics.' The band has also played mountain town concerts like Bailey Day in Bailey, CO, and benefit concerts such as a benefit in May for cystic fibrosis at Coors Field. They are regulars at The Oriental Theatre, playing private parties, and concert venues like Grandpa's Music Box and Cervantes, playing 3 to 4 shows every month. Time Well Spent is a group of four musicians dedicated to their craft and getting their music heard. The Band just released their debut album 'Stand Out' so check it out!
