Notes YOGA for Children My intention for creating 'YOGAntics' was to connect effort with reward. Playing with physical postures requires work, repetition and focus. Children work hard at play. This playful structure gives kids a way to explore their potential. With 'YOGAntics', exuberance is their reward. ----------- Description This product is a DVD which offers workshop style instruction for children. The menu begins with a focus on safety and continues with simple directions for learning. Kids ranging in age from 6 to 12 years can learn classical yoga postures by participating with the young yogis on the screen. After learning the postures, kids help to tell a story using their bodies. 'The Missing Lotus', an original adventure, invites children to animate the tale using the yoga they've learned! The story is enhanced with an original soundtrack which keeps the pace alive and enchanted. Included in the video is time for 'shavasana'. This is a resting meditation which feels wonderful to kids who have worked hard at play! Imagination, personal well being and comfort are the results of using this interactive medium. ---------- Bio Toni Zuper, owner/practitioner of Alternative Healing in Philadelphia, has been a professional in healing arts for 17 years. Beginning in 1987 as a Shiatsu therapist, subsequent modalities have included Reiki, yoga breathwork and astrology.
