Toshi Bio: As a vocalist of the legendary visual-kei rock band, X JAPAN, Toshi became very popular among the young generation of Japan, but left the group when it was at it's fullest bloom in 1997. From being a charismatic rock star to a healing music artist, he changed his musical direction and released an album "Beautiful love song" in '99. Since then, he started giving solo concerts at various places in Japan with a theme of "healing the heart". Besides these regular concerts since 2001 which numbered more than 2000, he visited as many as 8,000 welfare facilities such as the homes for the aged, handicapped and abused children, prisons, reformatories, hospices and so forth to give heart-moving charity performances for the audiences of all ages and walks of life. Toshi says, "It is such a blessing and a great pleasure for me to have seen so many people shed tears to hear my songs during these past 8 years. I feel to heal others is to heal myself." Toshi also paid frequent visits to Soul, Korea and Shanghai, China to give concerts. In November 2007, X JAPAN made the announcement of a reunion of the band which thousands of enthusiastic fans from over the world had expected for so long. Toshi joined it's 3-day consecutive shows at Tokyo Dome in March of 2008 and he contributed to a great success of the concerts with his never changing beautiful voice and his wonderful talent as a MC. Toshi released a land-marking new solo single CD in April of 2008, "Earth in the Dark -to the blue sky" composed and produced by MASAYA, which sounds like a fusion of the rock and healing music. He also started various new activities including a launch of his new band, Toshi with T-EARTH. The new band's debut performance was at Busan Rock Festival in South Korea, and also started their 1st tour at ZEPP halls in the major cities of JAPAN this summer and made a great success.
