The Tree Adams Band is a four piece groove powerhouse delivering 21st century rock 'n soul music. Tree's voice issues forth like a crawling kingsnake wrapped in nimble raw guitars. The songs on the new album 'Ghost kHz' are a mix of rock, soulful ballads and blues all steeped in solid grooves. Tree's lyrics are thoughtful & intimate, weaving a rich tapestry in the rock and blues tradition that is americana at it's core. The band features two lead guitars, Tree's own slide work and 'band of gypsies' style wailing are complimented by Derek Charles' soaring tone, which can often be reminiscent of Dicky Betts or the Black Crowes. Derek and Tree tangle through the songs effortlessly with their distinct tones. The former 'Blue Miracle' front man, Derek Charles, adds his leathery tenor to the vocal harmonies as well, meshing nicely with special guest, Niki J. Crawford (backup singer for Macy Gray) and bassist, Ben Levone. Levone, a former USC faculty member, brings a wealth of musical knowledge and information to the band. As a member of the Drew Davis Band and the bluegrass phenom, Honeywagon, Ben Levone is no stranger to the road as the highways and byways pulse and barrel through his thick hands. Drummer, Lawrence Lowe, infuses the grooves with driving, sinewy muscle, keeping the song at the frorefront and the backbeat undenyable. Based in Los Angeles, the band is a corps of highly sought after session musicians, performing in the orchestra pit for the yearly internationally televised 'Taurus World Stunt Awards' show as well as countless other film and television projects. Recently the Tree Adams Band had the opportunity to perform a set at the New York film festival with Keb Mo as it's guest. As an established composer/producer Tree has worked on many major feature films (Walking Tall, Dawn of The Dead, Auto Focus, Baadassss & Black Mask to name a few.) Members of the band have collectively shared stages with the likes of Dave Mathews, Santana, Buddy Guy, The Allman Brothers & Sheryl Crow. The new release, 'Ghost kHz' from the Tree Adams Band is an intricate weave of vintage rock and modern sound design. It is a concept album running for almost a full hour with no break. There are sound effects, original film score, foley and voice overs strewn throughout as well as the occaisional song snippet from an alter-ego band. 'Ghost kHz' begins with a truck driver leaving a diner, getting in his rig and embarking on a demented journey which eventually results in his abduction at the hands of an unkown entity. This entity has used a ghost radio frequency to communicate with countless victims and the music of the Tree Adams Band is it's lure.
