Comprised of musicians from southern California, Ohio, Mississippi, and Colorado Tubby packs elements of ska, funk and rock into a high-energy show that has turned many a weekend night into legend. Club shows with Fishbone, Common Sense, The B-Side Players and Blue Oyster Cult have also led to new converts, and Tubby's fan base now numbers in the thousands. Tubby has been High Times' Featured Unsigned Band, been nominated for two San Diego Music Awards (Best New Artist 2003 and Best Rock Album 2004) and had the number one rock song on Sir George Martin's garageband.com. They have already tasted arena crowds, been televised in 15 states, and enjoyed feature radio airplay on 91X (the area's premier modern rock station) and 92.1 (premium indie-rock). Now, with the addition of Bill Ray (of Ike Turner fame) on drums and the release of their new album TASTY MEDICINE, Tubby is preparing to take their music and their energy to the rest of the country, and from there, the world.
