Un Systema Para Todo
Award winning Cuban jazz group Tumbao Bravo releases their third CD, Un Systema Para Todo. A collection of original compositions exploring mambos, cha cha cha, bolero and rumbas. Co-lead by sax/flutist Paul VornHagen and conga drummer Alberto Nacif, the band was formed in 2003 in Ann Arbor/Detroit Michigan area. The instrumentation includes sax/flute/piccolo, trumpet/flugelhorn, congas, timbales, piano, bass and bongos/bell. Their first two Cds, Montuno Salad and Amigos: From Our Hands were given the Detroit Music Award for Best Jazz and Best World Music recordings in 2005 and 2007.
