V.S.B - the band V.S.B. is a multimedia project with music, video and performance. The men from V.S.B. are very much preoccupied with the tension that occurs between dominance and submission, women and men, emotion and intellect. V.S.B. is a mirror, that reflects the audience's curiosity, both aurally and visually. This curiosity causes the listener to view the V.S.B. lyrics superficially at first. In the end however it becomes clear, that these lyrics which often deal with the controversy of human nature, conceal a deeper meaning underneath their entertaining surface. The V.S.B. masterminds Cliff Edge (voice, programming, guitar) and Rick Burn (sampling, video, programming) have been active in the gothic and electro underground scene for quiet some time now. They had their first club hit in 2000 with 'Mädchenfresser', filling the dance-floors in the gothic Club Tonwerk and other north German clubs. Atomic Erotic - the album In 'Mädchenfresser' innocent females get threatened by zombies to a psychotic bass riff and brutality beats. While the sensual groove of the title track Atomic Erotic seduces to dancing, the deep voice of Cliff Edge has a hypnotic effect on the listener. The catchy vocal chorus from Whore of God still lingers in your ears only to be blown away by the monotonous impact of the sick guitar in the industrial song We Come In Peace. Adam & Eve, with it's classical song structure lives from the pure electro sound. The driving rhythm in Werewolf peaks in a huge chorus, where the whole melancholy of the lonely male gets screamed out. V.S.B. - the performances V.S.B. wear masks of steel, when they enter the stage for one of their notorious multimedia performances to guide us through their vision of 'Sex, Horror and Splatter'. They are the craftsmen of their own creation. In their self made videos young girls lick sharp knives and on stage they let chainsaws do the dirty work for them. The provocation comes to a climax on stage when the fetish ladies mingle with men dressed in women's sexy-underwear.
