The Vatcher Brothers are a San Francisco bay area duo whose exciting mix of crunchy rock and thumpy pop music is at once hauntingly familiar and refreshingly new. Twin brothers Don and Howard Vatcher started playing together before they were even born. After performing in a series of acclaimed bands they forged their own identity, and with their first album of award winning songs they were named one of America's best unsigned bands. Now with their third album 'Big Mistake' they have perfected the formula. Combining traditional influences with modern innovations, they blend the hard blues of Led Zeppelin, the earnest pop of the Beatles, the explosive fire of U2, the dense exuberance of the Foo Fighters, and many other ingredients into a sound completely their own. Guitarist, singer, and songwriter Howard Vatcher has played tasty blues-influenced, Hendrix-inspired guitar for decades. He has shared the stage with legends such as Bob Dylan, Jeff Beck, and many others. He also currently plays lead guitar with the Sorentinos and the Lynn Bobby band. Twin brother Don Vatcher plays bass and sings. A classically trained French Horn soloist, he has played stand-up bass in jazz and bluegrass ensembles. He has opened for artists as diverse as John Lee Hooker, Sam & Dave, X, and Captain Beefheart. He is also a member of the Lynn Bobby band.
