Sweet Dreams & Roses
Victoria Bb has been playing piano and writing songs from the early age of 6 years. She persued a career in music professionally from the age of 15 recording for various producers and exploring different styles of music. In her 20's Victoria opened for acts as diverse as Status Quo, Rose Royce, Bill Wyman (Rolling Stones), Sister Sledge and the UK rock band Stereophonics, as well as performing live at top venues around the world and in the UK which included the Beatles' reknowned 'Cavern Club'. From 2000 she toured Europe with Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel as vocalist and percussionist making appearances on BBC Radio 2 Road Shows around the UK and guesting at events such as the 'George Harrison Tribute Concert' in Liverpool (Feb 2002) where she had the honour of singing alongside the legendary Paul McCartney. During this time her talent was spotted by Vanessa Mae's agents and she was invited to tour with the classical superstar violinist, performing in Russia, Hong Kong, Germany and Indonesia with live broadcasts in Korea. Victoria describes her musical style as 'Chameleon like' as she can easily slip into many diverse musical backgrounds. Indeed she loves to expand her boundaries and vary her repertoire which constantly challenge herself and creates a tapestry of synergies. In 2005 Victoria self-penned her debut album 'Sweet dreams & Roses' except the cover of Bad Company's 'Feel like makin' love'. This album is an original creation with an array of catchy melodies and heart-felt, honest lyrics crossing into folk/rock genres, some songs acoustic and others full on band with an enthusiastic intensity. 'Victoria Bb's voice just holds your attention from beginning to end' - Trevor Tapscott freelance music journalist UK. Victoria Bb has also recorded with Club Brasil records from UK on 4 of their albums, their latest 'Jungle Kitten' where she sings soulful harmonies and also on 'Let go' with Mariana Feo, plus 'Zanzibar' a classic jazz/fusion arrangement of this classic 60's tune. This album is doing hugely well in Japan HMV and has been played by DJ's in the UK Patrick Forge and Giles Peterson, Kiss FM, BBC Radio 1 & 2, Smooth FM, Jazz FM and globally.
