Game of Life
Derrick Mitchell, originally from Oakdale, LA, began singing at the tender age of 10 when he was featured in his church's choir. Although he has won numerous awards in football, basketball, boxing, and track, he has decided to concentrate on his first love: singing. His voice is the glue that binds the group together. Reginald Moton, also from Oakdale, LA, has studied piano and is a prolific creator of lyrics and poetry. He has never stopped chasing his dream of becoming a professional vocalist. While in the Navy and defending his country during Operation Desert Storm, he sang for audiences abroad. He has performed with a member of the Chi-Lites along with Bobby Womack's nephew, Kevin Womack as the Gents in California. His efforts and dedication have not gone unrecognized. He is a graduate of the Art Institute of Seattle as an Audio/Visual Engineer. In addition, he creates the lyrics for the group. Jesse Bertrand Jr., originally from Opelousas, LA, is a drummer/percussionist by trade. He has played drums since elementary school and has obtained many achievements with Parish and District Honor bands and Instrumental Solo festivals. His budding talents placed him in the famed Southern University A & M marching band. While attending Southern University A & M College, he studied piano for two years and obtained a membership in Phi Mu Alpha Professional Music Fraternity, Inc. In addition, he composes and arranges the music for the group.
