Motel 69 - Vollmer's second effort - a premier collection of fast moving, hard rocking 'Gland Rock' songs that really stick to you. The band injects influences from Humble Pie, Zeppelin, Cheap Trick, and AC/DC to give you a full bodied, refreshing and satisfying blend of Vollmer. Recorded with few overdubs, this CD sounds like a live concert. The cover version of AC/DC's Overdose (live) gives some insight to a Vollmer concert experience! Heavy Metal Parking Lot - An awesome video tribute to the 1980's metal concert experience. After some 20 years the guys who filmed the original have released an anniversary DVD with alot of bonus footage, including a recent Vollmer concert. Check out all kinds of personal band information and enjoy a look back at what we were wearing back in the 80s! It's freakin hilarious! Music from this CD is featured in a movie by Todd Rohal called Guatemalan Handshake. In the movie, there is a scene where a girl is doing the NASCAR victory burnout in a field while 'Call to the Wild' is blasting in your face. It's very cool that 'Call of the Wild' was selected for that segment because the song was written about being a hell raiser and doing doughnuts in a field, neighbors yard, or whatever you could get away with. One other song is featured, 'Girl Loves to Rock' is being played in a scene at a skating-rink. That song has nothing to do with a skating-rink, but if you remove the 'ting-ri' that's what the song is about! The Vollmer website also has T-Shirts and other items available to purchase.
