Tennesse's own 'Yung Frazier' is a artist quickly becoming known as one of the South's most anticipated. And Jamar Frazier a.k.a. Yung Frazier plans on remaining so throughout the his musical career. Born and raised in East Chattanooga, Yung Frazier finds his inspiration with hip-hop legends such as the late Tupac Shakur, 8Ball & MJG,'Underground Legends' UGK, and current stars like T.I.. Early on, his mother taught him that independence and discipline are keys to success. At the age of 10 years old his mother was diagnosed with rheumatic fever of the heart and passed away soon after. Yung Frazier remained inspired by his mothers independence throughout his experiences as a foster child. The level of skill he possesses and his attention grabbing swagger is a direct reflection of his work ethic and perseverance in music. This led to opening up shows for artist he admired such as Tennesse legends 8 Ball & MJG, Young Buck, Lil Wayne and countless others. Yung Frazier can be best described as a lyrical activist whose words are meant to inform, inspire and entertain. And these aren't attributes he chose to take on willingly, these traits stem from personal experiences that have molded him to be the exciting new emcee you see today. The 2007 release of the mixtape 'Rock City Track Life' is creating a tremendous buzz showing hard evidence that this fresh young artist has what it takes to revive the creative void left in the South. The anticipated release of Yung Frazier's debut album shows off many different styles that Yung Frazier feels makes him a universal MC, despite his Southern roots.
