Product Notes

Bobby Tate, has traveled worldwide beginning and appearing first in 1962 at the ROYAL THEATRE OF BALTIMORE, MARYLAND (with SOUL HEAVEN residents Wilson Pickett, the Flamingo's, Rufus Thomas, and lead singer of the Majors Ricky Cordo)--- as guitarist-member with the MAJORS who gave 1960's fans that R&B nationwide 60's hit 'A WONDERFUL DREAM' In this first Debut Solo Recording, Tate delivers a smooth mellow and bluesey sound colored with soul. The solo messages are colored with a Bobby Tate fingerpicking guitar and Harp notes, an inspiring gospel soul sound of rhythm and blues. Seven of the eleven songs were written and composed and produced by Tate. One line in the CD title song 'I'm gonna make it into heaven' says, 'heaven is the place I wanna be.' Bobby says, 'yes, we wanna make it into heaven, but we also want to make heavenly success on earth.' The song 'Bless me Oh Lord is a sound of lonliness and cry for God's grace and blessings. The sound is a revelation to help increase one's faith to make it through a life's soul journey in the blues. Enjoy four traditional instrumental-vocals, arranged with a touch of soul/rhythm and blues. In these songs Tate is playing the lyrics on his 36 string Harp.
